Maureen Sue Flynn

Maureen Sue Flynn peacefully passed away on May 3, 2020. She was born to Clifford and Theda Flynn on January 13,1948 at Grand Canyon National Park. Maureen spent her childhood exploring Native American ruins, the blacksmith shop, and working in the photo studio directly with Mr. Kolb. Maureen had two children: Cristin Danille Balen and Richard Shane Robillard.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, activist, Buddhist, and defender. Maureen loved her work as a deputy at Washington County Sheriff’s Office. She was devoted to her service to Washington County and the people she worked with. Maureen later retired, allowing her to spend time with her grandchildren Mason, Courtney, and Hunter. Her grandson Mason and his wife Julia blessed Maureen with two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Lars. Maureen was always trying something new like crafting, painting, making gourds art, sculpting, sewing, quilting, but one of her favorite activities was attending her sons cooking classes at Harmon’s.

Maureen will be miss by all. We Love You.

  2. Maureen was one of my most cherished patients. Her visits were truly unique. Memories of Theda and Maureen’s visits make me smile! They were my only patients that gave me Peacock feathers! Maureen will be missed for the light she brought to everyone. Shane, my thoughts are with you.

  3. We are so deeply saddened by the news of Maureen’s passing. We met her at St George Rehab and loved her gentle voice, caring spirit and lovely smile. Angela was also a resident and dear Maureen was like a second mom to her. She was such an interesting person and I’m sorry I didn’t get to know her better! Prayers going out to her family. Rest in peace sweet angel!

  4. First of all, I have known you since 1955. You were in second grade and I was in third grade at Grand Canyon AZ. You were always the most kind, caring non confrontational and soft spoken person I have ever known. I don’t know of anyone who did not appreciate your sweet spirit and aura. Our condolences to Shane and Cristin and extended families. God gained another sweet angel and I know Maureen is now living pain free and in awe of her new surroundings along with her Dad, Mother and brother. Rest with peace our friend! 🕊
