Jerry R. Olson

Enterprise, Utah-

Jerry R. Olson, age 89, passed away March 25, 2022, in Enterprise, Utah. Jerry was born January 6, 1933, in Aurora, Illinois to Raymond Olson and Helen Shanon Olson.

Jerry married Vicky K. Thompson Olson. They were married I Baker, Nevada, on May 3, 1965.

Jerry was raised in Illinois, at the age of 17, he joined the United States Navy where he served four years. He had various jobs in several states. He moved to Utah to accept a job at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and rose to become Warehouse Manager. He retired from Goodyear in 1988 with 25 years of service.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with the family. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was very skilled in reloading ammunition for his various rifles and pistols that he and the family enjoyed shooting. He also was helpful in aiding friends with questions about reloading and helping with problems friends had with their guns.

Jerry is survived by his brother Terry Olson, his late deceased sister-in-law Mary Olson, two nephews, Martin Olson and Mitch Olson His wife Vicky K. Olson, his daughter Lori Olson Hardy, Robert A. Thompson, Lisa Thompson Owens Montoya, and a son Kirk Olson.

The family would like to thank Zions Way Home Health and Hospice, Doctors, Nurses, Friends, Family…etc.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the Cancer Society of Utah, ad the Parkinson Disease Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held on April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Enterprise Stake Center in Enterprise, Utah. The family invites friends to come and share their experiences about Jerry. We want to also thank the Enterprise Stake Funeral Committee and members of the community.
