Rulon Charles Hammon

December 6, 1977 — April 20, 2022

COLORADO CITY -
Rulon Charles Hammon, 44, passed away on April 20, 2022. He was born December 6, 1977, in Hildale, Utah, to George Ray and Juliann Wyler Hammon. He married Heidi Ray on July 5, 2017, in Brownsville, Tennessee.
Rulon was raised in the Colorado City area and attended school there until age 16. Later, he got his GED and attended Dixie College for about a year. He worked in construction in several states and was a very talented home builder, mechanic, and all-around jack of all trades. He loved flying with Charles Henry Wyler, his grandfather and wanted to be a pilot. He was known for being very meticulous in his work and strove for perfection in all he did. He loved to travel, drive, listen to music, and sing. Rulon was also very spontaneous and was known to just head out and take a trip on a moment’s notice. He was very kindhearted and would go out of his way to take care of people.
He is survived by his father, George Ray Hammon, and mothers Julie, Maureen, and Markay. His wife, Heidi, of Colorado City, Arizona, and his daughters, Josie, Megan, Emily, Amber, and Amanda (twins), all of Cedar City, Utah; sons Chasen, of Entelbuch, Switzerland, and Malakhi of Colorado City, Arizona; four grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his mothers, Cheryle and Christine Hammon, and Grandparents J.M. & Yvonne Hammon and Charles Henry Wyler. Brothers, Maurice Hammon and George R Hammon Jr.
Funeral services will be held on May 4, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Holmes Heritage Building, 1065 N Carling St, Hildale, Utah. There will be a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hammon Family Cemetery, 355 N Hammon St, Colorado City, Arizona.
