Roberta Rhea Coughlin, 78, passed away September 20, 2023. Bobbi was born February 16, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward and Louise Manak. The family later settled in San Bernardino, California.
Bobbi and her 3 sisters, each ten years apart, grew up in California, loving the ocean. She became a mother to Bradley in 1963. She married Patrick Coughlin and together they had two children, Trisha and Darren. This completed their family, also known as the 5c., Pat, Bobbi, and their three children moved to Escalante, Utah, to live their dream life in the country. They had a working cattle ranch and homesteaded. The children grew up hunting, taking care of animals, and learning the value of hard work. The 5c Ranch is a place the grandchildren talk about regularly. Pat and Bobbi passed along their dream to their grandchildren through stories and experiences that their grandchildren treasure.
Bobbi was an incredible artist and a wonderful cook, all things healthy! Her home was always very tidy and organized. She helped run Coughlin Company, making sure there was plenty of “petty cash” and the books were very tidy as well. She had a magnetic smile and sense of humor.
She served at a local center for troubled youth. She was amazing at befriending and supporting those in need. She made a difference in so many young people’s lives. Bobbi loved the ocean and nature. She always had several animals and loved them dearly.
Bobbi is survived by her son, Darren Joseph Coughlin and his wife, Tara Coughlin. Together they carry on the love for the country way of life, and the 5c brand. Her four football loving grandsons, that she adored, Brandon, Cameron, Conner Mamon and Junior Coughlin. Her two granddaughters that inherited her beauty, Adilynn and Isabelle Coughlin. As well as many beloved family members and friends.
It was a glorious reunion in heaven as Bobbi is proceeded in death by her two children Bradley and Trisha, her husband Patrick Coughlin. Her parents & older sister.
The family would like to thank Doctor Michael Codiga and friends Brandy Christensen, Nadine Woolsey, & Sherry Floyd for helping care for Bobbi.
The family will be holding a memorial in Escalante, Utah, during Pioneer Day Celebrations 2024. More info to come via Facebook.
