It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Johnson Jr., age 51, on October 29, 2024, at his home in Hurricane, Utah. Robert was born on April 30, 1973, in Tuba City, Arizona, and grew up on the Navajo reservation in a place called Navajo Mountain.
In 1998, Robert married the love of his life, Angel A. Johnson. Together, they raised five wonderful children: Michael, Angelo, Tony, Robyn, and Amber, and were blessed with seven grandchildren: Owen, Logan, Zahkayius, Peyton, Max, Jax, and Oakley.
Robert was a bright light to all who knew him. He attended various schools, including Navajo Mountain Boarding School, Shonto Boarding School, and South Sevier High School. An athletic and outgoing individual, he had a knack for making friends wherever he went.
His hobbies included hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, and cheering for his favorite football and baseball teams. He loved cruising in his truck, blasting his favorite music, and hanging out with his kids at various sporting events, racing events, and social events.
A humble and dedicated worker, Robert spent his career at Dixie Component, where he started as a manager before earning his CDL to become a truck driver for the company. He was known for his long hours and unwavering commitment to supporting his family, and he took great pride in showing his children the various projects he delivered to and worked on across Utah.
Robert was a great supporter, motivator, and example to his family and friends. He always made time to attend every sporting event and social event he was invited too. He was always willing to get his hands dirty and to lend a hand even when his ill health made it difficult
Robert Johnson Jr. will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering support will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
An evening viewing will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary. 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Rainbow City Assemblies of God Chapel at 23 Piute Creek Road, Navajo Mountain, Utah, 86044. Interment will be at the Navajo Mountain Cemetery following services.
