Patricia Francine Ruthewic, aged 75, returned home to our Father in Heaven, on January 8, 2023. She was the only child of Sigmund Ruthewic and Katherine DeLorenzo. She was born February 19, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and spent her childhood in Passiac, New Jersey. She grew up with her cousins, whom she loved dearly. Since she was an only child, they were like siblings to her. Patricia graduated from Passiac High School on June 22, 1965.
She met her first husband, Philip Turner Hartley on a trip with a friend to Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married in the St. George LDS Temple on July 26, 1968. Together they had five children – two boys and three girls. They lived in California, moved to New Jersey, and then settled in St. George, Utah. They were later divorced on June 25, 1987.
Later, Patricia met her second husband, Russell Garth Bundy, and they were married September 12, 1988. They later divorced April 18, 1997.
Her favorite things in life were her children, grandchildren, and her dogs. She enjoyed riding horses, swimming, and traveling. Her passions in life were movies, music, and the theatre. She had the greatest smile and laugh, as well as the biggest heart. She always went out of her way to help those in need.
One of her most favorite sayings was, “Just shoot me!”, whenever she made a mistake or forgot something she need. She loved laughing and being with her children and grandchildren whenever possible.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her children, Russell (Reyna) Hartley, Melissa (Mike) Knudson, Meredith Hartley, Raymond (Tracie) Hartley, Miranda (TJ) Ford, as well as fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Our family would like to thank all those who helped our mother in the last year. To all of the caretakers at Bella Terra Care Center and Rehab, as well as the nurses at Enhabit Hospice, thank you for being there and making Patricia feel comfortable.
