Patricia Lee Burr Robbins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Patricia Lee Burr Robbins. Patricia was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 7th, 1947, to Betty Lou Barton and John Clarence Burr. Patricia was the middle child and one of three girls. She grew up in Salt Lake City where she attended and graduated from Olympus High School. She married Stephen Craig Kendall in 1965, and they had two daughters, Jennifer Kendall Zupon (Paul Zupon), Amy Kendall Mawhinney (Paul Mawhinney), they were later divorced but remained good friends. She married Paul Crane Robbins in 1976, and they had two children, Christopher Robbins and Laura Robbins. They also raised her niece Dari Gerber as their daughter.

Our mother also had a wonderful loving companionship with Ted Remington, who was a very important part of her life for many years.

She enjoyed working in many professions, and she was an incredible astrologer. Her true calling came when she attended ministerial school. As a Minister, she co-founded The Independent New Thought Center of Utah. She would minister to her congregation weekly, teach classes on spirituality, and through this touch and enrich many lives.

We were so blessed to have been raised by such a strong and spiritual woman. Over the years our mom had many medical and personal struggles but always made sure that no matter what we knew we were loved. We always knew that if we ever needed advice, a hug, or a reminder of our own power, she was there for that. Her granddaughters often said that Grandma was the only person they knew that you could show up at her house in the middle of the night; she would not only be thrilled to see you but would make you something to eat, offer you her bed to sleep, and beg you to take home a kitten from one of her cats latest litters. The food she would make usually consisted of something with cheese, as our mom loved cheese.

Our mom would eventually move to Beaver, Utah where she had spent a lot of time as a child and had many fond memories with family. She loved the sunsets, the field of horses behind her home, and the close proximity to Greenville where her mother had grown up in a tiny farmhouse and where she had spent her summers as a child. It is there upon a hill that her remains will be placed with her mom, Betty.

She is survived by her five children (listed above), her sister Lisa Burr Olsen, grandchildren, Alexia Liti, Gabrielle Liti Naranjo (RJ Naranjo), Keziah Robbins, Ashlyn Robbins, Samuel Hill, Grace Hill, Madeline O'Reilly(David O'Reilly); Great granddaughters, Ariyah Takai, Kiara Takai and Margaret Takai.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Robbins and her sister Gaye Burr Gerber.

She was so proud of the family she had raised and the beautiful lives they had created. What an incredible legacy she leaves behind.

We love you so much mom and can't wait until the day we can be together again. Until then please watch over us our sweet angel.

We will celebrate her life and legacy with a fabulous party in the spring. Date to be announced. Our mom always loved a great Party!
