It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Panch Ratan Prasad (in Hindi, "five jewels offered to God") a beloved husband, father, grandfather, family patriarch and a friend, who left us peacefully on March 20, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on June 30, 1949, in a small town in India, Panch lived a life characterized by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and the natural product industry.
Panch was a man of many talents. He pursued a successful career as a chemistry professor in Africa, inspiring countless students with his passion for learning. He enjoyed being a DJ on the radio while living in Alaska. He was a fantastic entrepreneur and a natural product advocate with a passion for traveling the world and making deals. He travelled to many countries and met with world-famous people (including but not limited to the Prince of Kuwait and President George W. Bush).
A devoted family man, Panch is survived by his loving wife, Katia, with whom he shared 17 wonderful years of marriage, his 3 sons - Sanjeev, Rajeev, and Bryce- who carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity, and quick-wittedness, and his sister Asha in India. He was also a proud grandpa to four grandchildren - Allison, Graeden, Ariana, and Aiven, who brought immense joy to his life.
Panch was known for his sense of humor, mischief, bravery, kindness, generosity, funky dance moves, and remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He had a special gift for making everyone around him laugh. His wisdom and humor will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
In his later years, Panch enjoyed spending time with his family. He found great joy in traveling the world again and showing his wife and the youngest son places he had visited before on his business trips. He was a big fan of annual family vacations with all his children and grandchildren. This was the highlight of his life.
A memorial service will be held in the week of May 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where friends and family will be invited to share their memories and celebrate Panch's life. More info to follow.
Panch Ratan Prasad leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for his family and friends. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the warmth he brought into the lives of everyone he met. Rest in peace, dear Panch; your spirit will forever live in our hearts.
