Milo Ciril Knight, 101, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, in Ivins, UT. He was born March 16, 1920, in Sigurd, UT to Alma & Agnes (Andersen) Knight.
He was married August 24, 1939, to Miss Madge Zufelt in Salina, UT. They were sealed in marriage for eternity in the Temple of our Lord in St. George, UT.
He retired from the United States Air Force as a Technical Seargent & served our country during WWII. Milo joined the armed forces in 1944 & retired from the Air Force in 1964. 16 years of his service was in the supply field with a four-year tour of duty in Alaska. They lived in California, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Georgia, Maryland, & Utah. Following Milo's retirement from the Air Force, they moved to College Park, MD where he was the Director of Food Services for the University of Maryland, the owner of Milo's Pizza, & served as the Food Service Director at the Washington DC Temple. He retired in 1985 & returned to Utah to live in St. George.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamella Smith of Roswell, GA & Nancy (Miles) France of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren, Don (Hannah) Smith of Fairbanks, AK, Kollette (Doug) Schroeder of Anchorage, AK, Laura Smith of Anchorage, AK, Heather (Christian) Wright of St. George, UT, Briana (Chief Petty Officer Jonathan) Popham of Elizabeth City, NC, Aubrey (Michael) Forest of Marietta, GA, Alisha (Jay) McArthur of Roswell, GA, Lorina Smith of Magna, UT, & Travis (Chelsea) Smith of Denver, CO; 27 great-grandchildren and13 great-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Alma & Agnes (Andersen) Knight; wife Madge (Zufelt) Knight; son Milo Ciril Knight II; brothers Royce, Donald, Howard, & Alma Dan; sisters Lucille, Genevieve, Enid, & Barbara; son-in-law Dr. Allen Lee Smith, great-grandson Jordan Rust, great-great-grandson Leo Cosmo Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11 am at Spilsbury Mortuary on Bluff St. in St. George, UT. Graveside burial to follow at the St. George City Cemetery on Tabernacle St.
