Lindian "Lin" Ray Jones

Lindian “Lin” R. Jones went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2023. Lin was home in Washington, Utah, surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.

Lin was born September 23, 1946, in Lindsay, California. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Rector) Jones, whom he married on July 12, 1969, as well as his two children, Patrick Shawn Jones of St. George, Utah, and Kerri Mecham (Jay) of Hurricane, Utah. He also has four grandchildren: Aubrey Horsman, Brooklyn Mecham, Tristen Mecham and Zoey Mecham – The joy of his life!

Lin was the youngest of 5 children, all boys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Mary Jones, as well as his two brothers, Wilburn Jones and Michael Jones. He is survived by brothers, Robert M. Jones of Pismo Beach, California, and Donald L. Jones of Visalia, California, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lin and Charlotte raised their family in Visalia, California, and relocated to Washington, Utah, in 2004 after Lin retired from a distinguished career with the Visalia Fire Department. Lin was an avid golfer and enjoyed his service to his local church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah, with a visitation prior to services starting at 8:30 am.

A graveside service will immediately follow at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
