Larry “Killer” Kilcrease passed away after a long battle with cancer on June 20, 2022, in Hurricane, Utah surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born August 6, 1946, in Price, Utah to Garland Kilcrease and Lucille steel. He was married to Carol Cave Kilcrease February 25, 1967, in Price, Utah.
Larry dedicated his life to working in the coal mines. He worked as an underground coal miner for 27 years in Huntington, Utah until he moved to Olympia, Washington where he began his career as an open pit miner. Later Larry and Carol would move to Gold Canyon, Arizona where Larry retired from coal mining.
You knew he loved you when he gave you a hard time. Larry loved to hunt, fish, yard work, tinker in his garage and tease his wife just to get a rise out of her. Some of Larry’s most precious moments were with his grandchildren, nephews, and niece. Larry loved his dogs Sofie, Solomon, Trixie and Tink. Some of his favorite TV shows were Fox News, Gold rush, Deadliest Catch and watching Kansas City Chiefs.
Larry and Carol spent 55 years creating a beautiful life together while raising two amazing children. He is survived by his spouse Carol Kilcrease Hurricane, Utah. Daughter Leslie Marsing Hurricane, Utah. Grandchildren Martin Marsing Salt Lake City, Utah. Brittney Kilcrease Bellevue, Washington. Mykela “kk” Marsing Salt Lake City, Utah. Madyson “his baby” Marsing Logan, Utah. His sister Margret, Linda, Judy, Pam, Mike.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St George Regional Hospital. And a special thanks to his cancer doctor David M Adams.
Larry was proceeded in death by his son Dwayne Scott Kilcrease. His parents Garland and Lucille. His sister Ramona, his brothers Brent, Gary, Don, Brother-in-law Kelly Fawsett. Son-in-law Troy Marsing. Mother and father-in-law Bill and Olympia Cave.
At Larry’s request he is being cremated and at a later date and time there will be a celebration of his life.
Papa, we love you more than all the stars in heaven, all the granules of sand and more than that.
