Jimmie Steven Van House, born August 9, 1939, in West Hollywood, California to Lillian & Herbert House. He passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 84 leaving behind his loving wife Allyson of 15 years. He also leaves behind his Sons, Christopher & Cory Van House, daughter Kimberly Tarver, sister Patricia Bennie age, 90, and Grandchildren.
He enjoyed playing his trumpet and even worked on music commercials as a young man. Working on cars in his younger years didn’t keep him from skipping school to go surfing and waterskiing.
Jim graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He moved into a variety of careers which led him into the Aerospace industry working on NASA’s Titan Missile Systems.
Changing his career path as an Electrical Contractor he made his way to Las Vegas, NV where he & his first wife raised their family. He was a proud and strong father who always tried to set the right example for his children. He had a loud bark but a soft heart, a love for life and quick sense of humor that made everyone laugh.
He was well known in the Las Vegas area for many years in the Underground Electrical field. He took pride in his work that he did for many years contributing to the improvements of the City of Las Vegas. Jim was always pointing out (with a big grin to his children & others), “The beauty of a well installed intersection!”
In his more recent years, he enjoyed being in his workshop and doing his projects from his honey-do list. Overall, he enjoyed the sun, working outdoors and taking his camper on vacations.
His faith in God guided him always AND had the utmost Love for his Country.
You’ll be missed by all who love you, a job well done, Son, Brother, Friend, Husband, Dad & Grandfather…May you Rest in Peace.
In lieu of a memorial service Jim has requested that prayers and loving memories are shared with our loved ones. Always, and make sure you vote for Trump. MAGA!!!
