Jerry Semmens, 67, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born April 22, 1954, in Cedar City, Utah to Thomas and Beulah (Earl) Semmens. He lived in California for some time and then settled in Tempe, Arizona where he had two daughters.
He worked as computer safety engineer and in retirement spent his time with friends and family and new hobbies such as cooking.
Jerry was an easy going and friendly man who loved to joke around. He enjoyed golf and watching the San Francisco 49ers, especially with his lifelong friends and some wings. Most recently he loved spending time with his grandsons, playing hide and go seek and throwing around balls with a smile on his face.
He is survived by his daughters, sons in law and grandsons: Shana Semmens and Andrew, William and Henry Charney of Tucson, AZ and Whitney, Drew and Everett Guy of Queen Creek, AZ; sister Judy Lee of Virgin, UT as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim Semmens, and sister, Janeen Jocelyn.
Funeral services will be at the Virgin Cemetery on November 5, 2021, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or the 49ers Foundation.
