Jayna Lynne Miller, a vibrant spirit born in Logan, Utah on September 27th, 1960, passed away unexpectedly on December 19th, 2024, at her home in Saint George. Utah. The eldest girl of seven children born to Jay and LaRene Rammell, Jayna lived a life full of adventure, resilience, and love.
Jayna spent her childhood in Bellevue, Colorado, close to Fort Collins, forming cherished memories with her siblings, excelling in 4-H competitions, and helping out her best friend (aka her dad) on the family farm. Her determination to carve her own path was evident early, from carrying multiple extracurricular activities in high school to earning her undergraduate degree from Ricks College and a nursing degree from BYU Nursing School.
A nurse by profession and a businesswoman by ingenuity, Jayna thrived in her career; eventually co-founding and leading a successful nursing staffing agency in Las Vegas. Her sharp mind and entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to retire at 40, dedicating her time to her greatest joy: raising her three children and, later, doting on her grandchildren.
Jayna believed in the enduring power of love, a belief that led her back to her first love, Richard Miller. After decades apart, they reunited in a story for the ages, rediscovering the connection they first formed as teens. Their love and shared life philosophy brought Jayna immeasurable happiness. They were married January 19th, 2020, and sealed to each other for time and all eternity in the Cedar City Temple September 10th, 2021.
Throughout her life, Jayna cherished golfing, scenic drives in her convertible, and savoring true-story films with powerful messages. A lover of meaningful conversations and good company, she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jayna is survived by her husband, Richard; eldest daughter Kyli; eldest son Kreed: youngest daughter Krishael; four beloved grandchildren; and her five siblings. She is preceded in death by her mother, LaRene, and her father, Jay.
Jayna's legacy lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and the countless individuals who were inspired by her strength humor, and unwavering compassion.
A celebration of her life will be held on January 10, 2025, at the Green Valley Indian Hills LDS Chapel. 1282 West 500 South Circle, St. George, Utah 84770. The viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the service will start at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery.
