Jake Clifford Wright

Jake Clifford Wright was born in St. George, Utah, August 19, 1986, and passed away on July 14, 2023. He was 36 years old. Jake is survived by his loving family, Denver Pollock-Wright, the love of his life, fiancé, and best friend, Jake Wright Jr, his beautiful baby boy, Fred Wright, his father, and Sherry Lewis, his mother, his four siblings, Sheila Kato, Elana Carron, Ricky Wright, and Amanda Wright, brother-in-laws, Kunney Kato and Mihail Mushev, sister-in-law, Katie Wright, nephew, Matthew Castro, and three nieces, Kaysha Kato, Emma Sanchez, and Rowan Wright. He is also survived by grandparents, cousins, and people he called family. Anyone that knew Jake knew that he loved his family above all else.

Jake was an avid hunter, pickle ball and softball player, and could always be seen playing chess on his phone. He excelled in the game of golf, where he played on Dixie High School’s Championship Golf Team. Jake helped them bring home the 1st place State Championship in 2003! He was extremely talented and skilled at whatever sport he played.

He found his career at Texas Roadhouse in St. George and was one of the most valued servers there. He loved to serve, talk to people, and make new friends. It was there that Jake met the love of his life, Denver Pollock-Wright. He was never happier. Their love blossomed immediately. They found the best versions of themselves in each other’s love. This past March they welcomed their first child Jake Wright Jr. This was Jakes’ proudest moment!

Jake was an active member of the recovery community and enjoyed being a mentor and sharing his story with others. Jake loved the outdoors whether it be hunting, golfing, sports, or just being with his family. Though he is gone physically, his spirit will live on forever through his family and anyone that got the chance to meet him.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon will follow the services at the Elks Lodge. A memory book will be available to sign or share a story at both the mortuary and the luncheon.
