Ira Duane Timothy

Ira Duane Timothy of La Verkin, Utah passed away Friday June 10, 2022, at the age of 55 due to
declining health at home.

Ira was born June 4, 1967, in Vernal Utah to Lawana and Arthur Timothy. He was the youngest
of five children. As a child Ira was an eagle scout. He graduated from Altamont High School in
1985. He attended Ricks College (BYU Idaho) where he met the love of his life Bonnie Gilbert.
He served his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaheim, California
in 1986-1988. Ira and Bonnie got married August 12, 1988, in the Seattle Temple for time and
all eternity.

They moved to Buena Park, California for seven years. While living there he worked at Anaheim
Marriott Convention Center. In 1994 they moved to La Verkin, Utah where they started their
family. Together they have two children, Connor and Sarah.

Ira worked for St George Regional Medical for 23 years starting in security and retired as the
locksmith. He enjoyed working and serving in the church. He was very knowledgeable in the
gospel.

Ira survived by his wife Bonnie, his son Connor (Megan), his daughter Sarah and his
granddaughter Haven. He was proceeded in death by his parents Lawana and Arthur Timothy,
his twin brothers Paul and Roger, and his sister Louann Merrel.

There will be a viewing Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the La Verkin chapel (70 south 300 west La Verkin, Utah) from 9:00-10:30 am. Graveside services to follow at the La Verkin Cemetery (588 North State Street) at 11:00 am.
