Ilene Madsen Jensen Grow

Ilene Madsen Jensen Grow, 91, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. She was born February 26, 1932, in Fountain Green, Utah, to Cora Anna Jensen Madsen and Paul Joseph Madsen. Married to James Rex Jensen on December 6, 1949, in Magna, Utah, before later divorcing, she then married Jack Grow, before later divorcing.

She was raised in Fountain Green, Utah, and graduated from Moroni High School. She lived most of her life in Utah, other than a short time in Seattle, Washington. She worked at Hercules with her sister, Pauline, and then went to work for Mountain Bell, where she stayed until she retired.

Ilene always had a joke to share and loved to crochet. She loved to dance and played the piano beautifully. She also loved to clean, cook, bowl, pinochle, gamble, play bingo, and many other games. Walmart shopping was her favorite past time in her later years. She traveled to numerous places, including Hawaii and Mexico. She HATED peanut butter. Ilene did it her way!

She is survived by James (Peggy) Jensen, Renee Jensen, Lois (Kevin) terry, Paul Jensen, and Scott (Cindy) Jensen, as well as 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:45 am, followed by the funeral service starting at 11:00 am, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.

The Interment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
