Helen Elizabeth Rowe Denney passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 88 on Thursday, February 2, 2023, in the presence of her husband, Enos Thayle Denney and daughters, Alys Kiplinger Mansfield and Sandra Kerns.
Helen was born on September 10, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of John Herbert Rowe and Genevieve Elizabeth Graff Williamson. She resided in Monterey Park where she graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra in 1952. She married Robert Eugene Kiplinger and had two children, Alys Colleen Kiplinger and Karl Duane Kiplinger. They later divorced and she married Thayle Denney on April 28, 1979, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
She is a lover of animals, especially dogs, and leaves behind her Golden Retriever, Levie.
She is a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings when residing in Orange, California, before their move to Hurricane, Utah in 2011. With her husband, Thayle, they honorably served 4 full-time missions to Tennessee, Texas, Nigeria Africa, and Salt Lake City Family History Center. She became actively involved in family history work following her conversion and loved it until her health prevented it.
Helen is survived by her husband, Thayle, Hurricane, UT; daughter, Alys Mansfield (Wynn), Vernal, UT; daughter, Deborah Seeman (Kevin), Rialto,CA; son, Kerry Denney, Provo, UT; daughter, Sandra Kerns, (Eric), New Harmony, UT; son, Mark Denney (Heidi), Spanish Fork, UT; son, Craig Denney (Paige), Santa Ana, CA, Sylvia Burnside, sister, Simi Valley, CA; nephew, Randy Kephart; niece, Lark Kephart and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Jewel Kephart and her son, Karl Duane Kiplinger.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Hurricane 11th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 452 North 2600 West, Hurricane, UT with a public viewing that same morning from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be at the Hurricane City Cemetery following services.
