Gary Edward Adler

Washington, Utah. Our beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Gary Edward Adler, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on November 20, 1941, to Walter H. and Marion S. Adler. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Melnikov Adler on October 2, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gary spent the first 10 years of his life in Clarksburg, West Virginia until his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1952. He graduated with the first graduating class of Phoenix Central High School in 1960 and went on to further his education at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

Gary came to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1967 to work for Howard Hughes at the Desert Inn and continued his distinguished career in the financial field until his retirement in 2006.

Gary and Marilyn loved to travel and did everything together.

Gary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Melnikov Adler, his brothers Dr. Robert Adler of San Diego, California and William Adler of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dr. Joel Adler of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Marilyn would like to acknowledge Dr. Joseph Woolley for his special care throughout the years.

A viewing will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023, 2:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. 

Gary will be laid to rest in the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah, Tuesday August 15, 2023, at 10:00 am.
