Gail Ann Petersen

Gail Ann Petersen, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was 79 years old.

Born in Salem, Oregon, on February 26, 1946, to William Gerald Jenkins and Lydia Irene Basler, Gail grew up primarily in Blackfoot, Idaho, where she graduated from high school.

Gail moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she spent much of her life. She worked for the State of Nevada, Clark County, Leavitt Insurance, and the Thomas and Mack Company.

Gail was a loving mother to her three children: Nicki Lee Wake, Michelle Heather Graham, and Ryan Joseph Petersen. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She made and kept friends throughout her life. Her friends sustained her through hard times and celebrated with her during good times. Gail enjoyed reading, and was a connoisseur of K-dramas.

Gail is survived by her brother, Norman Jenkins of Las Vegas, NV; her children, Paul and Nicki Wake of Springville, UT, Heather Graham of Washington Park, CO, and Ryan and Britany Petersen of Las Vegas, NV; her 11 grandchildren Dylan Wake, Lauren Wake, Brendan Wake, Anne Wake, Devyn Graham, Wyatt Graham, Conner Graham, Ezra Petersen, Levi Petersen, Lucy Petersen, Quinn Petersen; and her great-grandchildren; Ammon Wake, Beckham Wake, Everett Wake, Theodore Wake, Amelia Wake, and Simon Wake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lydia Jenkins, and her siblings Patricia Hickman, Roger Jenkins, Grant Jenkins, and Larry Jenkins.

Gail's family and friends will remember her for her generosity, warmth, and love. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Renae and Adrianna for their loving care during her hospice.

A graveside service in St. George will be held at a later date.
