  4. This verse has given me comfort over the years – sending love and comfort to all of you.

I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads his white sails to the morning breeze,
and starts for the blue ocean.
He is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch him until he hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come down to meet and mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There! He’s gone!”
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all.
He is just as large in mast and hull and spar as he was when he left my side,
and just as able to bear his load of living freight
to the place of his destination.
His diminished size is in me and not in him.

    And just at that moment
when someone at my side says: “There! He’s gone!”
    there are other eyes that are watching for him coming;
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
    “There he comes!”

  10. Uncle Gene was the best uncle ever. I never saw him when he wasn’t smiling. Uncle and Auntie had a wonderful loving life together. Uncle you will be very missed but we will never stop loving you💕 I hope you are riding motorcycles with my dad. Wish I could be there tomorrow but you will all be in my heart.

  11. Grandpa Im struggling and wish I lived closer to see you more often. You were an awesome grandpa and will remember my first motorcycle ride. My mom wasn’t as nervous as she trusted you. Once I got on that bike with you, I trusted every ride with you. You were the only one that I knew were careful of everything and made sure I was safe. I will remember camping and making s’mores with you. I will always miss those times and cherish them. I love you and miss you grandpa.

  12. My heart goes out to you all for this loss!
He had a full and happy life and I pray for this to be your memory of him and that real peace will be of great healing.
