Our beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dianne Evelyn Blake Croft, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2022, circled in love by her nine children in Hurricane, Utah. She was born with a twin brother on May 27, 1936, in Santa Monica, California, to David Karr William Blake and Evelyn Pearl Brunet. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, October 16, 1954, in Lindon, Utah. She met Garth Fisher Croft while attending Brigham Young University. After a short courtship, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple, September 14, 1956.
She loved music and dancing. She started taking piano and organ lessons at a young age and became very accomplished. She accompanied many musical numbers throughout the years. She was the ward organist for over 60 years, recently discontinued due to failing health. She touched many hearts through her beautiful music.
Dianne was a wonderful homemaker and is most famous for her knitted booties, hats, sweaters, Danish pancakes, homemade bread, jams, family dinners, chocolate chip cookies, and Christmas Chews. She always looked forward to family phone calls and visits.
She loved researching family history, studying the gospel, and visiting with close friends and neighbors. She was loved and admired by many with her open personality, kindness, warmth, sense of humor, and integrity. She made everyone feel accepted and loved. She never held a grudge and taught us how to forgive unconditionally. Her testimony of Jesus Christ was felt through her prayers, and how she lived her life in the service of others.
Survived by nine children, Kaelyn (Randy), Garth (Carol), Steve, Gayle (Paul), Scott (Heidie), Deena (Rob), Wayne (Amy), Neil, Marc (Tara), 43 Grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers David and Wesley, and her husband Garth.
Her reunion is wonderful on the other side, but we will miss her greatly until we meet again. Families are forever.
