Delores Louise Robertson passed away April 4, 2023. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leo J. Anderson and Lilian Victoria Ebba Headburg. She married the love of her life Milton A. Robertson on August 16, 1950, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized on January 14, 1965, in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Together Mom and Dad raised 11 children plus many grandchildren. She loved to crochet, tie quilts, eat Chic-Fil-A, and get pedicures. She loved her puppy, Mazie. Together they watched Westerns, Little House on the Prairie, and game shows on TV for hours. She hated yard work and mouthy children. She worked at Kellwood sewing sleeping bags for ten years. She also worked for Washington County School District as a lunch lady for Dixie Middle School.
Mom always told people she was her son-in-law’s worst nightmare because she was his mother-in-law. In turn, he would invite her to go to dinner with him and his wife, only to tell the waitress that he needed to get her back to the rest home because she was out of her meds.
Delores is survived by her brothers Gary (Charlotte) Anderson of SLC, Utah, Rulon (Marsha) Anderson of SLC, Utah, her children Kayla (Clark) Hutchings of St. George, Utah, Chuck (Betty) Robertson of Hurricane, Utah, Ronald (Teena) Robertson of Ecuador, Cindy Robertson of St. George, Utah, Robynn (Kim) VanderVaart of Kearns, Utah, Alvis (Penny) Robertson, of Hurricane, Utah, Trudy (Geno) Bennet of St. George, Utah and Mark Robertson of Winnemucca, Nevada. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Robertson, her daughter Kim and two son’s; Milton Jr. and David, her sister Claudia Lloyd, her brother Robert Anderson, and grandchildren Cody Robertson, Lilly Walch, Justin Robertson, Sherry Pollock, and Kaleb Williams.
The family would like to thank her doctors, the many nurses, and Hospice at the St. George Regional Hospital for their loving-kindness to our beloved mother.
