Dallas Aril Slack was born on June 18, 1974, in LaVerkin, Utah. He was the second son and fifth child of Sherwin and Ann Slack. From a young age, Dallas was full of life and laughter, bringing joy to those around him. He grew up in LaVerkin and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1993. He later served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland, where he shared his love of the gospel.
Dallas found his greatest joy in his children, Spencer and Katelyn. He was their biggest fan, especially when cheering them on at soccer and softball games. Family meant everything to him, and he cherished time spent with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed Eastering in the hills, hunting with his father and brother, target shooting, and four-wheeling-always making sure that those around him felt loved and included.
He was currently working with his nephew, Riley, where he enjoyed learning new skills on the job. Dallas was known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and the way he could make others smile.
Dallas married Crystal Hall in 2000 in the St. George Utah Temple. Though they later divorced, they remained devoted parents to their children. His son, Spencer Dallas Slack (18), is currently serving a mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His daughter, Katelyn Ruth Slack (16), attends Hurricane High School, where she plays for the Tiger softball team.
He is survived by his children, Spencer and Katelyn; his siblings, Douglas (Lori) Slack, Kathy (Gary) Higgins, Anna Payne, Amy (Laron) Stout, and Sarah (Jeramy) Dutton; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherwin and Ann Slack, and his grandparents, Elwin and Anna Slack and George and Georgia Eddington.
