Cynthia (Cyndi) Marie Vogt Schumacher

In the early morning hours of Friday, February 16th, Cynthia Marie Vogt Schumacher (Cyndi), gracefully conquered all things earthly as she drifted away from this life to a place far more beautiful and full of love.

Cyndi was born on June 25, 1970, to Sharon Fluharty and Gordon Vogt in Sacramento, California. She attended school in Roseville, California and graduated from the University of Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. After college, Cyndi’s desire for adventure led her to Oahu, Hawaii. She curated many impactful and life-long relationships during her time on the island. It was in Oahu she welcomed her first daughter, Isabella Shipley. Cyndi later moved to St. George, Utah where she met her soulmate, Joe Schumacher. Cyndi and Joe were married March 8, 2003, in Springdale, Utah. Along with Joe, came two wonderful bonus children, Talisha and Coden. In 2006, Joe and Cyndi gave birth to her second daughter, Mia. 

 Cyndi's relationship with her husband, Joe, was truly special. Their 21-year marriage, built on love, respect, and a lot of fun, served as an inspiration to those around them. She cherished her family above all else, consistently planning gatherings and vacations to bring them together. She raised her family to be independent while providing unwavering support for their decisions. Cyndi was a best friend and mentor to her daughters, Isabella and Mia, and embraced her stepchildren, Talisha and Coden, as her own. Although she battled with being called “Grandma”, trying to come up with any other name to be called by, she absolutely adored her nine grandchildren. 

Throughout her life, Cyndi built multiple successful businesses. While in Hawaii she worked for several large hotels. It was there, Cyndi opened her first family-operated business; a restaurant known as Shipleys. After eventually settling in Southern Utah, her true business passion was found in the beauty and aesthetic space. Over the past decade, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to this pursuit. She spoke on business topics at multiple colleges and engaged in numerous charitable acts. She worked with women's shelters, sponsored families for Christmas for many years, and was a hands-on mentor to countless women in business and personal endeavors. She believed in bringing out the best in people and illuminating the path to becoming the best version of themselves. In 2009, she acquired St. George Day Spa which she nourished, grew, and eventually sold when the opportunity was right. Her latest and most treasured business adventure was creating St. George Med Spa. Opening the doors to this business was driven by her desire to mentor her daughters, Talisha and Bella, in entrepreneurship of their own. She always wanted for them to see the world of business through a lens much brighter than even she had.

Cyndi connected deeply with life while outdoors. She loved going camping and being at her second home on the lake. She enjoyed horseback riding and flying as fast as she could down narrow and steep trails in her razor. Anyone who had the privilege of being in that space with her became familiar with her deep and meaningful conversations in which she offered the best unsolicited life advice and business tactics. She was truly fulfilled when spending time with her family, including her two Goldendoodles. She loved traveling the world, exploring new places, and simply relaxing. All the things she enjoyed were ALWAYS made better with a glass of wine or a shot of Tequila. 

Cyndi is survived by her loving husband Joseph Schumacher; children Isabella (Kody) Shipley, Mia Jo Schumacher, Coden (Kelli) Davidson, and Talisha (Brendon) Hunt;  8 grandchildren; parents Mike and Sharon Fluharty, as well as her father Gordon Vogt; siblings Jeff (Susan) Vogt, Michelle Fluharty.

Cyndi was preceded in death by her Mother and Father-in-Law, Eugene and Teresa Schumacher; brother Robert Fluharty; and grandson Rylan Hunt.

Cyndi was a highly driven and compassionate woman who gave her all in everything she did. Whether it was her attire or her battle against a highly aggressive cancer for over 12 years, she always approached life with a "get it done" mentality, striving to empower those around her for success. Cyndi lived a full and joyful life, although it was not without challenges. Her prolonged battle with cancer showcased her remarkable resilience and determination, leaving doctors, friends, and family in awe. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was deeply loved and respected by her peers.

In true Cyndi fashion, we encourage you to celebrate her life and achievements. Her time in this world was well-lived and impactful. Funeral Services will be held on March 1, 2024, at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, UT 84770 with a visiting hour from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and funeral starting at 2:30 pm.
