Conrado Dominguez

Conrado C Dominguez, 89, passed away in his home surrounded by his family November 13, 2024. He was born February 11, 1935 in La Feria, Texas to Jose Dominguez and Maria Guadalupe Canales.

Conrado grew up in South Texas as a migrant worker following the seasons of the crops. On December 29, 1957 he married his wife, Paula Dominguez in a small church in La Feria, Texas. It was the same town where their son and daughter were born. In 1963, they made the decision to pack up their small family and move to St. George, Utah. Conrado took on several odd end jobs before he chose to attend the police academy. He proved to be a hard worker and excelled at the physical testing. He proudly served as a bailiff for the 5th District Court and as a detective for the Washington County Sheriff Department. After 16 years on the force he retired to focus his energy into he and his wife's restaurant, Paula's Mexican Food. In his spare time, he enjoyed raising his horses, riding his Gold Wing motorcycle all over the country, and serving the local community as part of the St. George Lions Club and St. George Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Dominguez, his children Joey Dominguez (Clifford Kindred), Ila Edwards (Rick Edwards) and his grandchildren, Brogan Dominguez (Mary Ann Dominguez), Amanda Crager (Jeremy Merrill), and CJ Skinner as well as 6 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 19 from 5-7pm and Wednesday, November 20 from 9:30 - 10:30 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Spilsbury Mortuary. Interment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery.
