The way she loved and served others was through her sewing, cooking skills, and compassionate service. Her position on the Hospital Handcrafters Guild helped raise money and bring joy to many homes. Carmen was a dedicated BSA Scouting leader helping many Cub Scouts gain life skills and learn about the good they can be in their community and world. She helped her three sons achieve their Eagle Rank as well as many grandsons. Over her lifetime Carmen was able to serve in many church positions wherever the Lord needed her. Carmen loved to travel. She and Weldon were able to visit all 50 united states and visit countries outside of the US. These travels include five missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her love for history spread over all genres of family history, church history, and world history.
She is survived by her husband, Weldon Sudweeks of St. George, Utah; children, Paul Sudweeks, Peter Sudweeks, Henry and Lori (Crockett) Sudweeks, and Justin and Colleen (Sudweeks) Jepsen, of St. George, Utah; stepchildren, John and Christine (Sudweeks) Bell, Cheryl (Sudweeks) Mumford; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
