Carla Lynn Cannon Barlow, age 66, passed away unexpectedly in the St. George ICU surrounded by her family on November 29, 2024. She was born on August 25, 1958, in St. George, Utah to Ellis Kay Cannon and Helen Irene Roundy Cannon. She married her "honey" Ralph Hunt Barlow on November 5, 1976, in the St. George Temple.
Carla was raised in St. George, Utah. She was the fourth child. She had one older sister, two older brothers, and a younger brother. She had to be quite a "tomboy" to keep up with them. She learned her love of hunting and fishing from her dad. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Pine Valley every summer. She loved playing sports and always talked about how they started girls' sports in school right after she graduated. She graduated from Dixie High School in 1976.
Carla's romance started with Ralph at the Enterprise 24th of July rodeo. Three weeks later they were looking at engagement rings and the rest is history. Carla moved to Enterprise after she married Ralph and lived there for the remainder of her life.
Her greatest joy was being a homemaker most of her life. She worked at Enterprise Elementary in the lunchroom after all their kids were in school. Later, she worked at the family business, Crossroads Equipment, as a cashier.
She loved spending time with Ralph, her kids, and her grandkids. She loved camping, shopping, traveling, Dr. Pepper Zero, the "right" pebble ice, hunting, fishing, reading, and attending every grandkid event possible. Her family was her life.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had many callings, but her favorite calling was being the girls camp director for twenty years. She loved all of her "girls." She loved the temple, although her health didn't allow her to attend as often as she would like.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Barlow, of Enterprise, UT. Tonia (Jerry) Browner, Las Vegas, Nevada. Rustin (Brenda) Barlow, Enterprise, Utah. Brittany (CJ) Hansen, Page, Arizona. Kirby (Nicolette) Barlow, Enterprise, Utah. Thirteen grandchildren, with one great grandchild on the way. Sister, Janet Harris, Orem, Utah. Sister-in-law Sheila Cannon, St. George, Utah, Sister-in-law, Debbie Cannon, St. George, Utah. Tony (Cindy) Cannon, St. George, Utah. Many brothers and sisters in law, and beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Kay and Helen Cannon; brothers Terry Cannon and Kelly Cannon; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ivin and Maxine Barlow; and grandson Ellis Barlow.
