Carel Robinson Wagner, 94, passed away January 26, 2025, in St George, Utah. Carel was born in Mesa, Arizona to James Elmo and Cary Martina Larsen Robinson on March 13, 1930. Her childhood was spent in Mesa, Tucson, and Phoenix. She was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School. She married Wilbur Thayne Wagner in the Mesa Temple on December 3, 1953, and moved to Mexico where she lived happily for 54 years.
Carel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with great faith and an unshakeable testimony that was a strength to her family and many others that she influenced. She lived her testimony!
Carel is survived by 8 of her nine children: Teria (David) Mortensen, St George UT; Paula (Art) Whiting, Mesa AZ; Tamara (Larry) Reeves, Friendswood TX; Brenda (Eric) Larsen, Orem UT; Ted (Shauna), Laredo TX; Jana (Kirk) Tryon, Murphy TX; Kevin (Kimberly), Elk Ridge UT; Shauna (Paul) Braunstein, Gilbert AZ. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and 43 soon to be 46 great-grandchildren whom she lovingly called "her littles" and her siblings, Ana, Frank, and Millie.
Carel is preceded in death by her dear husband, Wilbur, daughter, Carla Wagner, granddaughter, Savannah Wagner, her parents and siblings Geraldine Dennis, James Earl Robinson, Robert Sterling Robinson and John William Robinson.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church building at 3381 Mulberry Dr, St George, UT. There will be a viewing from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. for friends and family. Interment will be on Saturday, February 8, at 11:00 AM in Arizona at the Mesa City Cemetery.
