Bonnie Jo Hardy Greenwalt Clark, beloved daughter of Payne Dean Hardy and Margaret Farnworth Hardy, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, with her 2 daughters and grandson holding her hand. Born on August 12, 1949, in Provo, Utah, Bonnie grew up surrounded by the beauty of her home state and the values instilled by her family. She graduated from Orem High School in 1968, having also completed the four-year LDS Seminary program, a testament to her faith and dedication.

Bonnie Jo was a remarkable woman who enriched the lives of so many, and who left a legacy of love, resilience, and boundless spirit. A devoted mother, grandmother, grandma great, sister, aunt, and friend, her life was a testament to strength, independence, faith and the joy she brought to others.

Bonnie Jo married Jeffery Greenwalt in 1969 and was blessed with four wonderful children. Together, they created a family filled with love and laughter, which grew to include 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. Together they shared 25 yrs. before parting ways. Following a divorce, she moved to New Mexico, where she built a new life, marrying H. Clark and immersing herself in the beauty of the land and the companionship of animals.

An avid animal lover, she owned a goat farm in New Mexico, where she raised Pygmy Goats and Jack Russell Terriers with care and affection. Her farm was a place of peace and joy, where friends and family often gathered. After H. Clark's passing in 2000, she moved to Hurricane, Utah, to be closer to her family, settling into a cozy farmhouse that she cherished. Her love for crafting and building, along with a green thumb, meant her home was filled with handmade treasures and thriving plants, a reflection of her creativity and determination.

Her feisty spirit, independence, and warmth helped her form deep friendships wherever she went. In her last years, she moved to a little home on the hill in Hurricane, where she created new bonds and made a best friend, Martha Angell, who stood by her side every day in those final months, offering friendship, laughter, and support. Her neighborhood friends rallied around her, a testament to the connections she fostered with her kindness and grit.

Bonnie's life was marked by her steadfast commitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many positions throughout her life, embodying the values of compassion, faith, and dedication to others. She remained fiercely independent until just days before her passing, a tribute to her remarkable strength. Her life was filled with resilience, generosity, and a love that touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her little fur companion, Harley Davidson Clark and her children, Monica Manwaring (Mike) of Washington, UT; William Charles Greenwalt (April) of Maple Valley, WA; Scott Greenwalt (Alicia) of Payson, UT; and Athena Gadd (Brian) of Provo, UT; along with her many beloved 20 grandchildren , 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many grand fur pups. Preceding her in death are her parents, Payne Dean Hardy and Margaret Farnworth Hardy, grandson Champson Ray Salley, her siblings-DeAnn Smith, Laury Hardy, Peggy Thatcher, and Judy Ivie. As the youngest of her family, she was the last Hardy to journey home, where a joyful reunion undoubtedly awaited.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to her doctors at IHC and especially to her Dixie Hospice nurse Shalene and aide Breanna, whose kindness and humor helped make difficult moments easier. Special thanks also go to her dear friends Dianna Hawkes, neighbor Auramarina and Max Carballo, and many others whose support meant so much.
