Bert Goodin Christensen

Bert Goodin Christensen, 78, of Santa Clara, UT, passed away on August 24,2024 at home peacefully in his sleep. Son of Jean K. Christensen and Kathleen Goodin Christensen he was born on February 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT. He graduated from South High School in 1964 and joined the US Air Force in 1965 where he served his country in the Vietnam war, and was released from active duty in 1969.

He found the love of his life Patricia (Pat) Ann Blackwell whom he wed on August 15, 1970. They went on to have 2 children, Cortney Ann and Buddy Chad and made their home in Circleville, UT. He lost his sweetheart in 1998 and couldn’t wait for the day they’d be reunited. He relocated to southern UT to be closer to his kids in 2003. He had several jobs throughout his life including owning a service station, working as a computer programmer, several jobs in sales and owning his own medical supply company until retirement.

He enjoyed snow skiing, boating, hunting and fishing. His life revolved around his children and grandchildren. During his retirement years he enjoyed time with his children and spent many hours cheering on his grandchildren at sporting events.

Bert was preceded in death by his wife Pat; father, Jean Christensen; and mother, Kathleen Christensen; in-laws, Henry (Dick) Blackwell, Irene Smith Blackwell. He is survived by his children Cortney (Cale) Bernardo and Buddy (Nicole) Christensen; grandchildren: Tylee Bernardo, Taycee Bernardo, and Kadin Christensen; Siblings: AJ (Sherrie) Christensen and DeAnn (Johnny) Scott and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be held at Circleville Cemetery on August 31, 2024 at 11:00am. In case of inclement weather meet at the Circleville ward chapel.
