St. George, Utah-
Beada Helen Hill, 67, Friday, April 29, 2022. Beada was born on December 8, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts, to MacGregor Holway and June Constance Peterson Hill.
Beada grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, graduated from Wellesley High School in 1973, Oberlin College in Oberlin Ohio in 1977, and George Washington University Medical School in Washington DC in 1987. After graduation from Medical School, Beada completed her residency in Psychiatry with University of Maryland and made her home in Columbia, Maryland. She began her medical career working for the State of Maryland in various locations. Before retirement, she worked for almost 2 decades at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Baltimore, treating Veterans in the addictions unit.
Beada had a vast number of interests including her love of animals and of music. A severe case of rheumatoid arthritis, beginning at age 21, interrupted her plans to pursue a career in music and as a veterinarian. However, arthritis could not stop her love of travel, learning, and family. She was always searching ways to further educate and improve herself. She became an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints. Having previously visited St. George, Utah, she met an older couple on a mission in Columbia, Maryland, who lived in St. George and Beada decided St. George was the place where she desired to live. She has lived here for the past 11 years, her life being enriched by her many friends, the caring staff of Spring Garden Senior Living, and an “earth angel†caregiver, Peggy Steed.
She is survived by her brother William Holway Hill II and Joyce Currie of Falls Church, VA, her sister, Konstance Wolfinger Nordyke of Baltimore, MD, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 great-nephews, and 1 great-niece.
Funeral services took place on Tuesday, May 3rd at Spring Garden Senior Living. Interment followed the service at Tonaquint Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loving Angel Service Dogs
