Lewis Eugene Tullis passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in St. George, Utah. He was born September 3, 1935 to David Otto Tullis and Aroetta Hale Mecham Tullis in Hinckley, Utah. He was the youngest of of seven children.
He married Charlotte Fisher Tullis on February 12, 1957 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
They are the parents of four children.
He was a Firefighter for the Clark County Fire Department from July 1, 1956 until February 22, 1993 and obtained the rank of Captain. He loved his family as well as hunting, fishing, and camping, coaching and playing baseball, and performing church work throughout his whole life.
He is survived by his lovely wife Charlotte Tullis of St George UT; and his four children; Dan E. and Gina Tullis of Las Vegas NV, Larry A. Tullis of Las Vegas NV, Renee M. and Boyd Martin of Las Vegas NV, Kenneth R. and Jill Tullis of Woodland Hills UT; and 9 grandchildren; Daniel, Serena, Megan, Sarah, Stephanie, David, Marissa, Jonathon, and Jaxon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff, St. George. There will be a viewing Sunday, July 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary and also Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Dr., St. George.
