
St. George, Utah – Bonnie Jo Lundin, age 82, passed away due to complications of old age on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. She was born December 2, 1929 in Quitaque, Texas. Daughter of James Alton Woods and Estalene Dolly Love. She married Louie Clarence Lundin, December 26, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple.
Bonnie was born in Texas and lived in New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Utah. Moving around during the “Great Depression” so her parents could find work. She started school eleven times in one year because of all the moving. She first met the love of her life, Louie Lundin at Dixie College. They had eight children, 5 boys and 3 girls.
Bonnie was a wife, mother and homemaker, affectionately known as “Supertrooper”. If the authorities in the area needed any top secret information they came to Bonnie. She knew everybody and everything. She loved softball, cooking, knitting, sewing and crocheting. Bonnie was a nurse to all animals and troubled kids. She always had a space for wayward kids and animals. When anyone needed a mother, Bonnie was always there. She was the greatest Mom on earth. If you knew Bonnie you knew her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie C. Lundin; children, Louie Christian Lundin, Bonnie Louise Scow and Linda Joann Vance
She is survived by daughter, Beverly Jane (Kent) Rowley; sons, Timothy John (Shirley) Lundin, William James (Jolyn) Lundin, Aaron Marcus Lundin (Stacy) and Randal Clarence Lundin; 34 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be, Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the St. George 5th & 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 85 South 400 East, St. George, UT. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. The Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment was held in the St. George City Cemetery, St. George, UT
