
Hattie Pearl Jolley Fowlke, 87, died Jan. 17, 2012, in St. George, Utah, after complications from surgery. She was born Apr. 26, 1924, in Price, Utah, to Wesley Jolley and Harriet Sessions Jolley.
She attended schools in Manti, Utah. In school she loved learning and participated in many activities. She married Durmont “H” Fowlke June 14, 1944, in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Pearl and her husband were owners of Farmer’s Korner in Lindon, Utah, for many years. They also restored old houses and owned antique shops. After her husband died she owned a bed and breakfast in Fillmore, Utah. Her later years were spent in St. George and she enjoyed volunteering and enjoying the fine arts. Pearl was always happy when spending time with family and friends.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and loved serving others. Pearl was loved by those that knew her.
Pearl is survived by her children, Alaine Warnick (Richard) of St. George, Denley Fowlke (Janis) of Santa Clara, Janice Fortner (Neil) of St. George; a brother, Rodney Jolley (Joyce), of Riverton, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, grandson, great-grandson, four brothers, two sisters, and her beloved Pierre.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George LDS Chapel located at 930 S. Morningside Drive, St. George. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary 110 S. Bluff Street, St. George, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the Chapel. The interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2:00 p.m.
